A church with room for everyone

We are a district of The Apostolic Church Ghana, and an international worship centre where people from all walks of life worship and serve God in English.

Our story

Rehoboth began in 1998 in the Odorkor District of The Apostolic Church Ghana. Church leaders saw that the district was losing people who loved the church and wanted to stay committed, but needed a place where they could worship fully in English.

Rehoboth was set apart to meet that need: an English-speaking assembly and an international worship centre, open to people of every background, language, and nation. Over the years the congregation has grown into a district of its own, with its home at Rehoboth Temple on Sakaman, Blue Lagoon, Accra.

Our name comes from Genesis 26:22, where Isaac says that the Lord has made room for his people. We believe God has made room for us to operate in all dimensions with the help of the Holy Spirit, and that there is room here for you too.

Part of The Apostolic Church Ghana

The Apostolic Church Ghana is a Pentecostal, Trinitarian, evangelical, and Bible-believing church, with roots in the Welsh Revival of 1904–1905 and its headquarters in Accra. It has local churches across every region of Ghana and mission fields abroad.

As part of this family, we share its doctrine, its order of church government, and its commitment to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all people in the power of the Holy Spirit.

What we believe

We hold to the eleven tenets of The Apostolic Church. They summarise the faith we teach, preach, and live by, and are shared by Apostolic churches around the world.

If you have questions about any of them, our pastors are glad to talk with you.

  1. The Unity of the Godhead and the Trinity of the Persons therein.

  2. The utter depravity of human nature, the necessity for repentance and regeneration, and the eternal doom of the finally impenitent.

  3. The Virgin Birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension and abiding intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ; His Second Coming and millennial reign upon earth.

  4. Justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Christ.

  5. The baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers, with signs following.

  6. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.

  7. The Sacraments of Baptism by immersion and of the Lord's Supper.

  8. The Divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures.

  9. Church government by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders and deacons.

  10. The possibility of falling from grace.

  11. The obligatory nature of tithes and offerings.
